The Tesco store on Boothferry Road is the proud new kit sponsors of the senior and junior teams at Goole Town Cricket Club. The sponsorship has formed part of the store’s commitment to the local community and is helping to encourage people to keep fit and healthy.

Goole Town Cricket Club has three senior cricket teams and a number of junior teams whose age groups range from under 9’s to under 17’s.

Tesco Store manager, Clare Kilner, went along to present one of the teams with their kit during their practice session at Holy Family School. She commented: “We are delighted to be able to support the senior teams at the Goole Town Cricket Club by sponsoring their kits. The club is such a huge part of the community and they have a lot of fans.

“I had a lovely time meeting the team and they gave me a few tips to improve my game. The kits look fantastic and I can’t wait to go along and cheer the on at their first game of the season.”

Simon Franks from the Goole Town Cricket Club, said: “We really value the tremendous support we receive from the local community and the new partnership with the Tesco store in Goole will help us to continue to grow.

“Our senior teams are fantastic and have a good following and we have also recently had an increase in junior membership and parents who use the club, so all help to continue to improve the facilities we offer is greatly appreciated.”

The Tesco store on Boothferry Road is open from 6am to midnight from Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday
