It is with much sadness that Goole Town Cricket Club learnt of the passing away of Keith Woodcock.
Keith played cricket for Goole Town CC in a cricket career spanning around 40 years from the early 1950's right through to the late 1980's.
An excellent batsman and spin bowler, Keith started as a junior at Goole and played senior cricket for Goole Town and Goole Dockers. He was well respected by his fellow players at both Goole and the Dockers, playing in teams including Steve Foster, Jack Garland, Geoff Andrews, Les Broadley, Bob Christie and Mick Jackson to name just a few of many. Keith also helped set up Goole junior teams.
Keith's legacy lives on with his son David and grandson Calum who are both currently playing for Goole Town CC.
Keith will be sadly missed by many and Goole Town CC offer our sympathy to David, Calum and all of Keith's family at this sad time.
